Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm a psychiatrist with Kaiser Permanente's Behavioral Health Department in Santa Clarita. I assist members by developing an effective treatment plan that will hopefully help relieve symptoms and allow the member to cope more effectively with challenges of daily life.
I grew up on Long Island as the youngest of three children. There were no doctors in our family, but when my parents suggested to my older brother that he might like medicine, I said, “Hey, I can do that!” I see my older brother as my primary inspiration—he’s somebody that I’ve always admired. I went to college in Atlanta, then returned to New York to attend medical school at the State University of New York in Buffalo. I knew I wanted to be a psychiatrist within the first few months of medical school—I just knew it was a good fit for me. I interned and did my residency at Saint Vincent Medical Center in Manhattan—a teaching institution of the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. After living and practicing in Manhattan for several years, it was time for a change. After temporary assignments with Kaiser Permanente in both Atlanta and the Antelope Valley, I decided to stay put in the Antelope Valley. Several years later, I transferred to Santa Clarita.
About my practice
In my practice, I see members who are considering new medications as a treatment for their symptoms. I also see members who are currently taking medications for routine follow-up appointments. I always like to hear members' input before deciding on a medication or a medication change—the member always has a say.
How I thrive
Growing up near New York City, I'm accustomed to the many options a large city has to offer. I enjoy going out to eat, going to the movies, and attending theatrical productions in Los Angeles.
