Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to working with you and your family.
I am a native Pittsburgher who moved to Southern California so my husband and I could finally be on the same coast. While it has been a huge compromise to move to the sunny shores of Southern California, I have gotten used to it (wink). One of my role models and mentors was my grandfather. As a physician, he treated everyone with the utmost respect and warmth. No one was ever turned away. I am convinced he healed just as many people with his kind nature and humor as with the medication he prescribed. I continue to strive to use my grandfather's life as an example of how I should practice medicine.
About my practice
In my practice, I see children, teenagers, and young adults. While I help treat any psychiatric issue and have worked in many different places, I have specialized training in treating trauma disorders.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me (and is always a work in progress!). Part of keeping that balance includes being a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers football fan! When I am not at work or watching the Steelers play, you can be sure to find me outside somewhere, either at the beach or hiking. I also really enjoy yoga and spending time with family and friends.
