Joseph Irving Sardina, MD
I speak: English, Spanish
My gender: Male
Where I practice
Welcome! I’m a board-certified urologist and have practiced for over 20 years at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente and to have the privilege of working to make people's lives better.
I was born in San Diego to an Italian immigrant and a New York schoolteacher, and am the second of five sons. I will always be cognizant of the sacrifices my parents and family made to allow me to become a physician. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart from Loyola Marymount University for more than 26 wonderful years, and we have three children who are my pride and joy. I received my medical degree from Georgetown University, and finished six years of residency training in general surgery and urology at UC San Francisco. It has been a true privileged to serve the Inland Empire community at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center.
About my practice
In my practice, care begins one member at a time, with respect for each individual's inherent dignity. This requires more than medicine or surgical procedures, but taking an interest in a person's total well-being by listening with compassion and empathy.
How I thrive
I try to keep myself focused on the important things in life. I’m family-centered and I’m an active leader in youth ministries at our church. I exercise vigorously five times per week and eat meals low in saturated fat and simple sugars.
