Where I practice
Hi, and thanks for choosing Kaiser Permanente! I hope this Web page serves as an introduction to who I am as a physician.
My parents are both immigrants from Taiwan. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. After high school, I went to UC San Diego, where I received my bachelor’s degree in animal physiology and neuroscience. I became inspired to become a doctor after working in my church’s free clinic for the poor and indigent of South Los Angeles. I worked with amazing doctors, nurses, and medical assistants who addressed the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of their patients. I went to medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine and did my residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, where I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to serve people from many different backgrounds.
About my practice
I am a big believer that trust is paramount to any relationship, including the doctor-patient relationship. I will work to build that trust while delivering care based on evidence and current research. Also, I believe that members should be knowledgeable about their health so that they can make decisions that will allow them to live healthy lives.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I recharge by spending time at church, praying, and hanging out with my wife. On my days off, you can find me and my wife taking walks in the park or strolling along the beach.
