Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and physician director of employee health services at Kaiser Permanente. I have practiced internal medicine for more than 14 years at our Baldwin Park Medical Center. In 2004, I began my administrative role as the physician director of employee health services. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente as both a physician and an administrator who is working to make our organization even better.
I am originally from Colorado and moved to California when I was in middle school. Even when I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor. I liked reading medical stories and watching medical dramas, and I dreamed of someday being able to help sick people get well. I knew that I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people's lives, and practicing medicine gives me this opportunity.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy not only for our members but also for their health care providers! I work with Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians, motivating them to stay healthy. I feel it is important that our employees and physicians serve as role models to promote healthy lifestyles for our members.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I am an avid tennis player, and I try to play as often as I can in a competitive tennis league and also with my teenage kids. I also make it a priority to set aside time to go to the movies and travel with my family.
