About me
Thank you so much for visiting! My name is Innie Kim, and it would be my absolute pleasure to take care of you and your family.
Biography
I was born and raised in Sunnyvale, California. I made my first move to Southern California when I decided to go to UCLA and pursue a career in film/television. After seeing how a caring physician could make all the difference in my mother’s long and difficult journey with autoimmune disease, it became clear to me that my love for human connection, passion for health and social equity, creative problem-solving, and lifelong learning would lead me down a very different path to my true calling as a physician. In medical school, I was astonished by how potentially debilitating chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and depression, could be prevented altogether with timely screening, monitoring, and patient-centered solutions through strong patient-physician partnerships. I felt strongly that family medicine was the best way to foster these relationships. I am truly grateful that I have a job that I love! In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with my furry friends and loved ones, search for and listen to amazing music, watch art house movies and foreign crime shows, practice yoga, and try new restaurants. I am always on the search for amazing pastries and sweets!
About my practice
I enjoy working with members of all ages. I am a huge proponent of preventive medicine, so expect plenty of discussion on lifestyle modifications! Most importantly, I am here to guide and support you so you can achieve your personal health goals.
How I thrive
I believe in practicing what I preach. If I don’t take care of myself, I won’t be able to take care of you! I exercise regularly (yoga, dance, paddle boarding, etc.), eat a balanced diet (don’t worry, I indulge in pizza and sweets in moderation), invest in my mental health and burnout prevention, build and maintain a good support system, try to get at least 8 hours of sleep, and follow up with my primary care physician in a timely manner!
