Welcome to my Web page. I am proud to be a member of the Kaiser Permanente health care team. I am here to provide quality eye care in a caring environment.
I was born in Perth, Australia, and immigrated to the United States at age 3. I grew up in Southern California, and received my undergraduate degree from UC Irvine and my doctorate in optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. My internship was at Silas B. Hayes Army Hospital in Fort Ord, California. Soon after, I took a position as an assistant professor at King Saud University and King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where I was part of a team that established the first program in optometry in the kingdom. Five years later, I found myself back in Southern California. I’ve been with Kaiser Permanente since 2002. I am happily married and am proud to have a son attending college.
I provide general eye and contact lens exams as well as eye disease treatment for members age 5 and up. I also care for low vision members who have severely reduced vision due to eye disease or trauma. I work closely with my colleagues in the Ophthalmology Department to ensure comprehensive eye care, and I strive to provide personalized and preventive solutions for eye and vision problems.
I believe in a balanced life, which includes spiritual time, family, friends, and enjoying the gifts of nature. Mountaineering, skiing, sailing, tennis, and cycling help keep me fit, and my faith keeps me grounded.
