About me

I’m glad to have an opportunity to introduce myself and my practice to you. Although my subspecialties of neuroradiology and advanced 3D and vascular imaging primarily bring me into contact with my physician colleagues, I also see individual patients with complex problems requiring my targeted imaging expertise. Such patients include those with blood vessel abnormalities in the brain, head and neck, abdomen, and extremities; pregnant patients whose fetuses have high risk for brain and spine anomalies; and patients who require my help in the interpretation of uncommon or unusual findings on their imaging studies of the brain, spinal cord, and blood vessels.

Biography

I always showed aptitude in science, graduating with high honors from the Bronx High School of Science, and then magna cum laude from Yale University while majoring in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. I enjoyed singing in college, and performed all over the world singing tenor with an a cappella close-harmony group, The Whiffenpoofs of Yale.

About my practice

I am the medical director of a highly skilled team of experienced professional radiologic technologists who work closely with me to create real three-dimensional displays of disease patterns, utilizing customized protocols. Our sophisticated CT and MR scanners have great power and flexibility. These scanners are used to obtain image data sets that are then extensively post-processed to show the precise anatomical appearance and location of particular abnormalities. The three-dimensional data displays provided by my team are used by our physicians to educate their patients and formulate the approach to medical or surgical therapy.

How I thrive

In my off-hours you will often find me with my wife at an IMAX theatre enjoying an action adventure movie (think Pirates of the Caribbean or Transformers) in high-definition and surround-sound. I am also a recreational runner, ballroom dancer, and home gardener, with a wealth of knowledge and experience concerning palm tree horticulture.
