About me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself and share information about my practice. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I am looking forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I was born in India, and always wanted to become a physician. After completing medical school and subsequent training, I practiced medicine in underserved areas, learning to work with limited resources. Thereafter, my family and I decided to immigrate to the U.S. That was probably the best decision of my life. Here I received my residency training and completed my board certification in internal medicine. This specialty is particularly inspiring to me, giving ample opportunities to serve all segments of society. I intend to continue to serve my community and patients with my professional background, my expertise, and my experience for years to come to the best of my ability.
About my practice
I personally feel that medicine as a career is not only an honor but also a lot of responsibility. All of us in the Department of Internal Medicine are privileged to serve our patients, who trust us with some of their deepest concerns. I like to work closely with my patients and their families, not only to seek their trust but also to advise them about healthy living or talk over anything that may cause them additional stress. In my belief, it is important to treat the person as a whole rather than focus only on the medical diagnosis. This has been the guiding principle in my practice.
How I thrive
Growing up in India, I was active in sports. I was particularly good at basketball, qualifying for national games during my school years. This experience taught me the importance of a healthy and physically active lifestyle. I also carefully select the foods I cook for myself and my family. Even though we eat all types of food, it is extremely important to strike a balance. Eating in moderation is also important.
