Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, where I have wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to consulting with your providers about your diagnostic images.
I knew I wanted to be a doctor at a very young age. My mother inspired me-she raised my sister and me as a single mom and was a medical technologist. I used to spend time with her at work and enjoyed watching her discover, for example, what antibiotic might cure an infection. In addition to my mother, my cousin, who was a radiologist, had an important influence on me. I loved it that he could look at a "picture" and tell what was wrong with a patient in order to assist in their care. With all the advances in radiology, and knowing that most providers at one time or another need images of their patients to help in the care of them, I thought radiology was perfect for me.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy. Being an imager and a woman, I would encourage all women to do monthly breast self-exams (SBE) and obtain regular screening mammograms. Taking care of ourselves is a precious gift that we can give ourselves and loved ones. I look forward to seeing your images.
How I thrive
I believe in Kaiser Permanente's emphasis on a balanced life and preventive health care. My family is my first priority. I enjoy participating in my two sons' school and after-school activities, which include swimming, golf, karate, and music. As every mother knows, just being a mother is active exercise in itself ! We enjoy skiing while the boys snowboard ('cuz it's way cooler) and of course, "grandma" (my mom) comes with us.
