Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, an independent island off the coast of China. When I was 16 I immigrated to beautiful Ontario, Canada, and attended high school there. I subsequently moved to sunny California, where I spent four happy years at USC rooting for the Trojans. After graduating from the Medical College of Wisconsin, I found my niche at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. I joined the Kaiser Permanente family as a nephrologist in 1998, upon completing my internal medicine and nephrology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
About my practice
As a nephrologist, I specialize in the evaluation of kidney diseases as well as the care of patients who are on dialysis or receive post-renal transplantation. It is a privilege to address each patient's concerns and facilitate his or her appropriate evaluations and treatment. I feel very honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of total health and try to live it in my life every day. My family life is my highest priority outside of work. On weekends, my wife and I, along with our three children, often take hiking trips up the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains or bike on the sandy trails that line windy Malibu Beach.
