Greetings! Thank you for visiting my Web page. I’m glad to have this opportunity to share some things about myself. I hope this information about my practice will help develop a warm and trusting relationship.
I am an Angeleno and proud of it. My parents arrived in California from Korea 50 years ago. Although I grew up in Orange County, I have been in Los Angeles since 1979, when I attended UCLA for medical school. I love Los Angeles for its diversity, recreational opportunities, and its wonderful dining and entertainment. I even like driving in Los Angeles! My wife and I have two children. My favorite time of each day is having dinner with my family, when we catch up with each other and debate world issues. I value hard work and honesty. I believe life and health are the most precious things we have. We should never take them for granted. We should all strive every day to achieve and maintain good health. This is also my goal with my patients.
I have been a specialist in pulmonary medicine and critical care at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center since 1988. Currently, I am the Physician in Charge of our pulmonary medicine and critical care services. I take care of patients who have chronic respiratory conditions and attend to patients in the intensive care unit.
I try to live well every day. I exercise regularly. My wife and I particularly enjoy cycling. I try to maintain a healthy diet, which includes eating and drinking alcohol in moderation. I have checkups with my personal physician regularly and try my best to adhere to her advice. I try to have a positive outlook, remembering that despite my daily challenges, I have the important things in life: health, enough food, and loving family and friends.
