Where I practice
I am grateful for this opportunity to present information about myself, and I hope that this page allows you to get to know me better both as a person and a provider.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, and although I have lived outside of the country and all around the United States, I have always been a true Californian at heart. I come from a large family of physicians and psychiatrists who have inspired and supported my journey into the field of medicine. I have been an advocate for mental health awareness, with involvement in organizations like NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) and LifeAct.
About my practice
As a psychiatrist, I have learned that effective communication with members is of utmost importance, as this creates a trusting relationship. I decided to pursue this field and continue to find it rewarding because I truly enjoy connecting with members and their families. My role in your care involves diagnostic and, when appropriate, medication evaluation and continued medication management. It is a priority to practice collaborative care and communication with your other providers, including your primary care physician and therapist. In working with the child and adolescent population, I believe that it is important as part of the assessment for members and families to understand the risks and benefits of medications in order to make informed decisions.
How I thrive
I am a firm believer in the saying, "Live Your Best Life", which I constantly aim to fulfill by engaging in activities that bring me joy such as hiking, attending concerts, traveling, trying out new restaurants and foods, and spending time with close friends and family.
