Welcome to my Web page. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and thank you for your interest in my practice.
I grew up in a small town in Iowa and grew interested in medicine due to the family doctor in our town. I went to college at the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University. I attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. I completed my anesthesia residency and obstetric anesthesia fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Then the United States Navy invited me to Camp Pendleton, where I served for three years as a staff anesthesiologist. My husband and I fell in love with Southern California and we’ve lived here ever since. I've been with Kaiser Permanente for more than 20 years. We've raised our family here and are now helping them get established.
My practice is a general anesthesia practice with a special interest in obstetric anesthesia. New babies are always a miracle. We have a team practice model with anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists working together.
Life balance is important to me. I enjoy family time, cooking, photography, and reading. I've added terrarium gardening to my interests recently. I'm trying to increase my activity with core exercises and walking.
