About me

Hi, my nickname is Chris. I’m glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I hope this page will be a starting point in you getting to know me. First, I enjoy an active lifestyle that relies on a positive work-life balance. In my free time, I enjoy my outdoor activities, like running and mountain biking. I also enjoy Brazilian jiujitsu and watching football, rugby, and soccer.

Biography

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, I enjoyed an active childhood playing many sports and enjoying my beach days. I attended St. George’s University in Grenada, where I received my medical degree and master’s in public health. I then moved to Marquette, Michigan, to study rural family medicine. I had many learning experiences in the inpatient, outpatient, and obstetric/gynecological settings. My positive experiences in the clinic persuaded me to pursue outpatient medicine.

About my practice

I believe communication is key to forming the physician-member bond. I love to listen and hear a member’s perspective. I feel this helps in working toward a common goal of mental, physical, and spiritual health. I believe in prevention and correcting harmful behaviors before they become major problems in the future. I believe in medicine based on current evidence and research and in forming plans together with members.

How I thrive

I am a firm believer in the balance between work and play. I set aside time to exercise for physical health as well as stress reduction. Dealing with stress in a positive way is vital to a healthy lifestyle.
