Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I have been associated with Kaiser Permanente my whole life. I was born in a Kaiser Permanente hospital and grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member in Northern California. I knew that I wanted to be able to make a real difference in peoples lives and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity. I chose gastroenterology because of the focus on disease prevention in colon cancer screening.
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are two of the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to support you when you need care. I look forward to our working together as partners in your health.
My family is the most important thing in my life. We love to spend our time outside engaging in a variety of physical activities. We love to travel and have taken trips to as many national parks as we can, such as Yellowstone and Yosemite, as well as parks in Hawaii and Costa Rica. When we’re in town, we enjoy the wonderful beaches of San Diego and long bike rides in Pacific Beach. During the winter, we try to get up to Mammoth Mountain as often as we can. I try to spend as much quality time as possible getting some form of exercise with my family. I do have my limits, though—I am not joining the kids on the skateboard half pipe! Photography is quickly becoming one of my favorite hobbies. I find that after spending time outside exerting myself, my mind is much more relaxed. I am refreshed, recharged, and ready to go!
