Where I practice
A heartfelt welcome to my Web page. I am a staff physician in obstetrics/gynecology and have been very devoted to women’s health for many years. I truly believe that the relationship a patient has with a physician should be trusting, honest, compassionate, and, if possible, long term. My approach in my practice is to treat you, my patient, as I would want to be treated: with patience, kindness, and a personal conviction to maintaining high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care.
I grew up in a small town in Missouri and learned to love medicine as I watched my father, a family physician, take care of his patients. I have done medical volunteer work here in San Diego, in Rwanda, and in Lithuania, and I look forward to doing more in the future. I am married and have three beautiful, awesome daughters. I moved to San Diego to do my residency training at UC San Diego and fell in love with the weather, so my family sprouted roots here, and we plan to stay for good.
About my practice
I provide obstetric and gynecologic care for women of all ages, from teenagers to postmenopausal women. Life has many transitions, and I am here to help ease you through them in the best way I can. I am also a certified menopause practitioner with the North American Menopause Society and help many women with their menopausal transition. I believe in preventive medicine and the importance of exercise, a healthy diet, and stress management. I see myself as a physician who’s also your friend and advocate in health.
How I thrive
I am an avid fitness enthusiast. I love to run and have completed many half marathons and marathons. My latest adventure is doing Pilates and barre workouts. My faith in God and my family are my center and grounding forces in my life. I approach every day as a gift and a blessing. I also have two boxer dogs that are always getting into mischief—they’re very fun and so affectionate.
