Hello, and welcome to my Web page.
I received my medical degree in osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and completed my family medicine residency at Kern Medical Center. I have been practicing medicine in Bakersfield since 1991, and I've been with Kaiser Permanente since 2009.
I work with a team to look after your health care needs. I believe that for the best results, you should be involved in your own health care, be willing to follow the health care plan we develop, and be willing to make lifestyle changes. I encourage all of my patients to have a healthy lifestyle, and I'm committed to assisting you in that. I believe in the science of medicine. Numbers from lab results, office visits, and other studies are used to determine the seriousness of illnesses and to monitor treatments. My team uses this information to help you improve your health. For example, most people who experience a heart attack feel okay before it happens, but risk factors determined by lab results, family history, and lifestyle will help predict the problem in advance and hopefully prevent it.
I have a commitment and quest for truth in all circumstances and a reverence for life. The balance I maintain of work, family, church, and service energizes me. I try to do what I recommend to my patients, which is to stay active and control medical problems. Life always has obstacles, and I thrive by finding solutions to them.
