Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice and myself. I'm delighted to work at Kaiser Permanente because of all the wonderful colleagues and members. If you need my care, I look forward to working with you.
I have wanted to be a physician for as long as I can remember. As a little girl growing up in the eastern coastal town of Madras, India, I dreamed of helping people by alleviating their pain and sickness. After finishing medical school, I trained as a general surgeon before heading off to Africa. I eventually emigrated to Fargo, North Dakota, where I trained as an internist. I then moved to beautiful California and have worked at Kaiser Permanente for the past 20 years.
About my practice
I feel privileged to provide comfort and care to the elderly and terminally ill. I cannot think of a better practice area than geriatrics, hospice, and pallative care. Working in a nursing home and visiting patients in their homes has provided me an intimate insight into my patients' lives that is a special and treasured experience for me.
How I thrive
I firmly believe that a healthy body is largely dependent upon a healthy mind. That's why I try to meditate, take time to relax, read a book, watch movies, and experience different cultures in order to keep myself mentally and physically active.
