Where I practice
Greetings! My name is Dr. Amanda Lee, and I’m a hospitalist physician at both Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center and Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. I am happy to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share information about myself.
I am originally from the Seattle area but have now lived in Southern California since 2015 and love it! I completed medical school and internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Then I moved back to Seattle and started my career at Kaiser Permanente in Washington State in 2004, where I eventually became the regional hospitalist chief. In 2018, I transitioned to Kaiser Permanente Southern California and am enjoying working with the wonderful teams here!
About my practice
As a hospitalist, I see my role as your “primary care physician” while you’re in the hospital. I partner with you to guide your care during a hospitalization and help coordinate your care among your team of physicians, nurses, and staff. And when it is time for you to leave the hospital, I help with an initial treatment plan and communication with your outpatient team.
How I thrive
Keeping a work-life balance is very important to me. I volunteer at my daughter’s school nearly every week, especially at the library and in her classroom. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, piano, and traveling.
