Where I practice
Greetings! My name is Dr. Amanda Lee, and I am a Kaiser hospitalist physician at both Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills and Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. I am happy to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share information about myself.
I am originally from the Seattle area, but have lived in Southern California since 2015 and love it! I completed medical school and an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Then I moved back to Seattle and started my career at Kaiser Permanente Washington in 2004, where I eventually became the regional hospitalist chief. In 2018, I transitioned from Kaiser Permanente Washington to Kaiser Permanente of Southern California and enjoy working with the wonderful teams here!
About my practice
As a hospitalist, I see my role as your "primary care physician" while in the hospital. I partner with you to guide your care during a hospitalization, help coordinate your care amongst your team of physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff, and, when it is time for you to leave the hospital, I provide an initial treatment plan and communicate with your outpatient clinical team.
How I thrive
Keeping a work-life balance is very important to me. When I’m not at work, I volunteer at my daughter's school nearly every week, especially at the library and in her classroom. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, playing piano, and traveling.
