Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I work with wonderful colleagues and members at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you, too, to care for your health.
I was born and raised in Myanmar (Burma). I finished my medical college in Myanmar and immigrated to the United States in 1982. I did my internal medicine residency training in New York. I moved to California to be close to my family and the sunny weather. I have been married since 1988, and my only son is now working as a software designer. I love to exercise all year round, trying to keep in shape. I enjoy playing tennis about three times a week and walking if I am not playing tennis. I also love to sing on weekends to help relieve stress.
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I have always emphasized preventive care. I find it fulfilling to take care of people who have chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
My family life is my major priority. I love to travel with my wife. I also like to stay at home and read or play tennis. It is important to keep your mind healthy, which will keep your body the same. Managing the daily stress is the key to keep healthy.
