About Me

At a very early age, I was drawn to the amazing way my pediatrician related to me and my siblings. We would go in for our physicals together, and he would make each of us feel very special and cared for. I decided as a young girl that I wanted to be just like him!I am a proud native of Atlanta, and I attended Benjamin E. Mays Academy of Mathematics and Science in Atlanta. I then attended Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine and the University of Alabama at Birmingham in pursuit of my dream of becoming a gynecologist.

About my practice

I am often asked why I chose gynecology as my specialty. I enjoy gynecology because it is always a challenge. From the annual well-care visits, counseling and infertility management and treating the complex medical conditions facing women, it keeps me thinking, growing and learning every day.My approach to medicine involves treating the whole patient - physically, emotionally and spiritually. I also appreciate and embrace the differences which make us all special.

How I thrive

In addition to being a committed gynecologist, I am also a devoted wife, the mother of an inquisitive, active and talkative son, a daughter to great parents, a loving sibling, a cool and fun aunt, an awesome niece and a loyal friend. In the midst of all of this, I still find time to cook, golf and travel. I also exercise regularly and greatly enjoy Tae Bo.Juggling the multiple roles of my life is part of what makes me who I am and helps me relate to my patients in a unique and caring way.
