About Me

I grew up in Northern Nevada in the foothills of the Sierra mountains. Skiing, biking and swimming were a huge part of my childhood there. College took me to Southern California, where I initially pursued a career in journalism prior to transitioning to medicine. I moved to Portland and went to medical school at OHSU. My emergency medicine training took me back to Southern California for residency, but I feel incredibly lucky to be back in Portland after landing my dream job here with Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

It's an honor to work in the Emergency Department. Every day, I have an opportunity to help patients navigate stressful and scary experiences in their lives.

How I thrive

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and geriatric bulldog. I love running, barbecuing, and eating my way through Portland's awesome restaurants.
