About Me

Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, I practiced for many years in Europe before moving to the Pacific Northwest to be close to my grandchildren and to live the American dream. I attended medical school at the University of Aarhus in Denmark and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin and a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. I am board-certified in anesthesiology and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography.

About my practice

I am a member of a highly specialized group of professionals who perform open-heart surgery. I am passionate about delivering the best anesthetic care using state-of-the-art tools. I also enjoy teaching future specialists to deliver cardiac anesthesia care in a safe and professional environment.

How I thrive

In my free time, my wife and I enjoy our children and their families. I have a passion for riding motorcycles to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and sometimes I extend those trips to other parts of the world. I also enjoy flying as a hobby pilot. Good conversations are always a priority for me.
