About Me

I grew up in Toronto, Ontario, in a warm and loving home. My parents were foster parents for many years. Interacting with these children with the social workers, school systems and the families of each child sparked my interest in this field and taught me many valuable lessons. I currently live in Denver with my wife and five children, ranging in age from 3 months to 13 years old. In the community, I serve as the academic chair of the Board of Trustees of my children’s school. I am also involved with many other nonprofits, both locally and nationally, that strive to make the world we live in a better and safer place.

About my practice

Populations: Children, Families, Adolescents, and Adults. Specialties: ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Greif and Loss, Mood Disorders, Parenting, PTSD, and Trauma. Interventions: CBT and DBT. I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I work with individuals, families and children using a solution-focused approach to help clients develop the strength they need to thrive. My professional and personal experience working individuals, families and children brings me into contact with a variety of mental health and behavioral issues, including: anxiety, ADHD, anger management, trauma, divorce, blended families, depression, behavioral issues, social skills and family conflict. I combine a unique blend of clinical and life experience to provide you with clinical services that are goal oriented and down to earth. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending time with family, around the dinner table and spending time outdoors. As a dad, I get to utilize my culinary skills at home where meals provide a great opportunity to share insight, events and daily living. Getting outdoors with the family is a priority for me and my kids, staying active while enjoying our beautiful state.
