About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my exceptional colleagues and especially all the wonderful members I take care of. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I grew up in the Southern California suburb of Diamond Bar. I essentially received all my medical training in Southern California and never plan on leaving because I feel that this is the best part of the country to live and work in. Even as a young child growing up, I always wanted to go into medicine, for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason was always that I wanted to interact with people on a daily basis and hear their personal stories. I have always been a big storyteller myself, so I appreciate listening to the details of other people's lives. I like to use the information in those stories to help people improve their health. I went into pulmonary and critical care medicine because I always found diseases of the lung to be the most interesting and challenging to treat. I also enjoy critical care medicine because, as a physician, I can have an immediate impact on a member’s life, which can be very rewarding and gratifying.

About my practice

Practicing medicine gives me special opportunities to get to know and help people in meaningful ways. It is a privilege to help members understand what they may not grasp right away about their condition, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. Working with my staff in clinic is also great because we all are dedicated to our goal of helping our members thrive.

How I thrive

My family life is my highest priority outside of work. I do everything I can to spend as much time as possible with them. I am an avid basketball fan and especially a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, and I try to attend as many games as I can during the season. I also love traveling and plan on visiting all seven continents over the course of my life. I love television and cinema, so I take time out to watch my favorite shows once in a while and go out to the movies. For me, physical activity is a big part of staying well and thriving, and my favorite activity is playing tennis at least twice a week.
