About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am honored to be a part of the tremendous Kaiser Permanente family. I hope sharing a little about myself helps you understand who I am and what drives the care I provide.

Biography

I have lived all over the United States, from Illinois to Maryland to Texas. When I started my medical training, I made an effort not only to be an excellent physician but to understand how the health care system works and how to make it better. Knowing that Kaiser Permanente is constantly striving to provide a better service to you and your family makes me proud to be a physician and member of the team here. I am also excited about the incredible experience of calling Southern California home.

About my practice

I practice internal medicine as a hospitalist, which is a physician who specializes in taking care of members admitted to the hospital. I really enjoy this job. I have the privilege of meeting new people all the time and learning about the things in their lives that are most important to them. When people are admitted to the hospital, I partner with them to uncover the reason for their illnesses and construct treatment plans to get them back to enjoying those important things. I strive to communicate as much as I can about what I know, but I am often humbled by the lessons that others and life can teach us.

How I thrive

What better use of the weather in Southern California is there than being outside? I enjoy running and cycling. I also like indoor climbing and skiing when I can get out to the slopes. I enjoy trying all kinds of food and am often trying to reproduce recipes at home. When I am at home relaxing, I enjoy sipping on coffee while I read a good book or essay.
