About Me

Welcome to my Web page! Thank you for taking time to learn more about my practice.

Biography

I was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States at age 11. I did my undergraduate studies in East Asian languages and civilizations at Harvard University and completed my medical education, residency, and fellowship training at University of Massachusetts, Boston University, and Yale University, respectively. I am married to an ophthalmologist who inspires me every day, and our son is my constant joy.

About my practice

I treat and care for patients with cancers and/or blood disorders. I appreciate the challenge of using my mind and heart in my work and the privilege of being allowed into people’s lives. In my practice, I strive for compassion and knowledge. I also value teamwork—please remember that includes you! You are the most valuable member of the team when it comes to your health.

How I thrive

I thrive because I choose things that are good for me: I choose to walk, I choose to eat vegetables, I choose to keep learning, I choose to laugh with my family, and I choose to be kind to people. I enjoy nature, music, books, travel, good food, and homemaking. I love living in Southern California!
