About Me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My name is Dr. Yuhas. I'm very excited to be a member of the Kaiser Permanente community, and I am honored to play my part in keeping you and your family healthy and safe.
Biography
I grew up in New Jersey and New York as the oldest of 11 children. So, needless to say, there was never a dull moment! That is what I feel prepared me best and drew me towards emergency medicine as a specialty. It was during my residency training that I met my husband, who was raised in Orange County. After getting married we decided to make our move to the West Coast. We live in Downtown LA, and I love spending our free time exploring all it has to offer—shows, the arts, food—and just a short drive away is the beach. I couldn't have asked for more.
About my practice
You schedule appointments to see your primary care doctor or your various specialists, but you never schedule time to be in the ED. Often, my patients are concerned, afraid, nervous, or feeling vulnerable, and I hope that with each one I am able to bring a sense of calm and security while also addressing their medical needs. I try never to loose sight of the personal aspect of medicine, even if I do only have a few minutes with the majority of those I care for.
How I thrive
Practicing medicine has made me truly appreciate my health. I like to get my heart rate up every day whether it's by taking a hike, riding a bike, playing in a pool, or taking a yoga class. Keeping it varied keeps me engaged and more active. And, most important to my happiness, are my loved ones. Sometimes all I need to make my day is a short phone call with a friend or family member or a nice quiet evening with my husband.
