About Me

I have lived on Oahu most of my life. After going to undergraduate school in Rochester, New York, I returned home to attend medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, where I also did my residency.

About my practice

My interest in women’s health issues inspired me to pursue a career in medicine and to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. I am a junior fellow of the American College of Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association. Online searches, attending conferences, and reading professional journals allow me to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in medicine. The Hawaii Permanente Medical Group takes a multi-faceted approach to caring for a person's health, and I fully embrace this model. The collaboration among the physicians and the availability of a broad range of skilled specialists in this health care organization make it possible to deliver high-quality medical care. The partnerships I have with my patients are built on trust, respect, and the mutual desire for the best possible care. In my opinion the best care involves compassion, integrity, and practices that are based on current research. Depending on the circumstance, I bond with my patients in different ways. Sharing similar life experiences is one of my favorite ways to connect.

How I thrive

Healthy relationships with family and close friends keep me emotionally healthy. Exercise, hiking, walking, dining out, traveling, and reading books also help me to maintain balance between work and my personal life.
