About Me

I grew up in New York City and received a degree in cognitive science and psychology from Yale and a Master of Science in behavioral decision research from Carnegie Mellon. I spent several years doing research on how doctors and patients make decisions, with a focus on end of life issues and how people evaluate risk. After medical school at University of Pittsburgh, I completed my residency in primary care and social internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where there was special training in how broader forces – social, psychological, environmental – dramatically affect health.

About my practice

I came to Colorado with my family to join Kaiser Permanente’s Complex Care Home Rounding department, which gives me the privilege of visiting my patients where they live. I love being able to care for older adults with challenging medical issues who are often confined to their homes. I work with them and their families to meet their needs and goals. I listen to understand their questions and concerns, taking into account the big picture of their health. I collaborate with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients’ care.

How I thrive

I enjoy running mountain trails and going on adventures with my wife and 2 small children.
