I was born and raised in New York City, where I had attended school and college. After completing medical school and my residency in pediatrics, my husband and I moved to southern California to find a beautiful, warm environment to raise a family. This has been a childhood dream of mine; to be able to care and support children as they grow to become young adults. I believe becoming a mother to my wonderful twins has made me a more knowledgeable and caring pediatrician. I understand and empathize with parents who are doing their best to care for their children and who are trying to understand their medical conditions. Thus, being a mother has helped me to become a better pediatrician.

About my practice

Becoming a pediatrician means more than being a healer of ailments. Although it is vital to incorporate medical knowledge and the clinical skills to help patients, it is also important to be a good listener and to be empathetic to patients and their families. Having respect and responding to members' needs is also another very important aspect in being a good physician. I feel honored to maintain the position to care for their children, and I approach every pediatric patient as I would my own child or family member. I am extremely passionate about preventive care. This is best manifested in my belief in the current immunization schedule to avoid diseases which are vaccine-preventable in children. I also believe in the astounding benefits of breast feeding and support all breast feeding mothers.

How I thrive

Finding balance in life is important in maintaining happiness. I am a full-time pediatrician, wife, mother, daughter and friend. I stay healthy by exercising regularly, jogging, hiking and bike riding and roller skating with my children. I enjoy the great outdoors with my family, as well as find time for myself through practicing yoga at home. My other hobbies include healthy cooking, and I am always exploring the culinary world. I also enjoy interior decorating and arts and crafts.
