About Me

I’m excited to have the chance to introduce myself to you and to share some details about my practice. I look forward to helping you take care of your health. Thank you for taking the time to read my page. I look forward to meeting you!

Biography

I am a native of North Carolina, but I have lived in Bakersfield since 2003. I followed in my father’s footsteps in choosing to become a family physician. During my residency in Long Beach, I fell in love—both with my wife-to-be and with Southern California—so I decided to make California my new home. I enjoy visiting new places, spending quality time with family and friends, and exercising.

About my practice

As your physician, I hope to not only care for you when you are sick but to also practice preventive medicine to keep you healthy. For people with chronic or multiple medical problems, such as diabetes or heart disease, I coordinate care among specialists and help my patients make informed decisions about treatment options. Having excellent health requires teamwork between you and your physician, and I would love for you to be a member of my team.

How I thrive

Balance between work and family is very important to me, and I have found this balance as a Kaiser Permanente physician. As the father of two small children, I understand how important it is to take care of myself so that I can be there for them in the future.
