About Me

I am a native New Englander, having grown up in Massachusetts. I completed medical school and residency in Maine. My husband, two children, and I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2006 and have never looked back. For eight years, we lived in Sandpoint, a small rural town in northern Idaho, where I practiced general obstetrics/gynecology in a private practice. I then changed focus and became an obstetrics/gynecology hospitalist in Spokane, Washington, until we decided to make the move to the Vancouver/Portland area. I am so fortunate to be focusing on the part of my practice that I always enjoyed the most: caring for pregnant women and guiding them through their birth experiences.

About my practice

I have the greatest privilege of being part of one of the most significant events in a woman's (and family's) life — and to ride the extreme rollercoaster of unpredictable events that accompany pregnancy and childbirth. Through my early medical training with midwives, I became a closet midwife at heart.

How I thrive

After a 13-year hiatus, I have rediscovered my love for Tai Chi practice. Family events with music, movies, theater, day hikes, beach trips, and other travel provide life's balance.
