About Me

Welcome! I’m delighted that Kaiser Permanente has given me this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.

Biography

I grew up in Southern California. As a child, I lived in Huntington Park and later moved to Downey with my family. I attended UCLA and ultimately received my medical education from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. After four blisteringly cold winters, I returned to Los Angeles for my residency at White Memorial Medical Center. After finishing my residency, I worked in a private practice in Anaheim for five years. I ultimately decided to join Kaiser Permanente, where I’m happily committed to practicing great medicine.

About my practice

I have several beliefs about what entails a good partnership between a physician and a member. I believe it’s important for you to have a good relationship with your physician. This relationship should involve communication, trust, and empathy. I believe there must be teamwork in order to help you stay healthy. I believe the individual can do amazing things and that nothing is impossible. Ultimately, I believe I’ve been given a tremendous opportunity to help my members maintain their well-being.

How I thrive

As I’ve stated, I believe the individual can do the impossible, or at least what appears to be the impossible. For me, the mind, body, and spirit are all inter-related. One cannot be fully healthy if one area is out of balance. Obviously, because of the world we live in, we face challenges—whether physical, mental, or spiritual. We need to find ways to overcome these challenges and maintain balance in our lives. Exercise, eating healthy, and laughing a lot will keep your body and mind young. We all need to remember that we only have one life, one body, and it needs to be treasured.
