About Me

I was born and raised in a small town outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I completed my undergraduate degrees in international relations and biomedical sciences. I fell in love with medicine while working in an emergency department during my undergrad years and then moved to Detroit, where I obtained my medical degree. My partner and I moved to Portland for residency with our two cats and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. We now consider Portland to be our home.

About my practice

I completed my residency in internal medicine and now practice as a hospitalist — taking care of adults who are admitted to the hospital. I believe that good communication, empathy, and patient education are essential to providing excellent care to my patients.

How I thrive

When I am not working in the hospital, I love traveling, learning new languages, listening to live music, reading, and cooking. For relaxation, I love spending time with my partner and our cats.
