About Me

I grew up in Ohio and Indiana and moved to Colorado for my residency training. Like many, I fell in love with the wonderful climate and innumerable outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. As a young child, I knew I wanted to become a doctor. Fortunately, I continue to enjoy the intersection of science and caring in my daily work.

About my practice

My practice is focused on treating adults with serious illness by providing relief from symptoms and stress for patients and their families. Supportive care, which includes palliative care, is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment. I really enjoy getting to know my patients by hearing about their passions and pivotal life experiences. This knowledge helps tailor our treatment plan to enable patients to live well while facing serious illness. By working with a team, including a nurse, social worker and pharmacist, we aim to address patients’ medical, emotional and practical needs and to coordinate the best care possible.

How I thrive

When I have time to myself, I enjoy baking, traveling and crocheting. Most often you’ll find me hiking, playing or watching sports with my husband, three kids and our family dog.
