I was born in the Chicago area and spent most of my childhood in the upper Midwest. I received my medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1993. After graduating, I moved to Colorado and completed my internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado. I chose gastroenterology because I love the balance of office and procedural work.
I am a board certified gastroenterologist. I have a patient centered approach to medicine. I work hard to provide the most up to date care and advice for my patients. I work best when it is in collaboration with my patients. I like to treat patients with the most serious digestive problems, such as inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, and end stage liver disease.
When I am not working, I am busy with my wife, who is also a physician, and two children. We all love the Colorado outdoors and everything that the mountains has to offer. I am an avid fly fisher, hunter, backpacker, and skier. I’m happiest when I am doing anything outdoors or with my family.
