About Me

Welcome! I am glad to have an opportunity to provide some information regarding my credentials and interests. It is critical that you feel comfortable with your surgeon. I hope this site will help you get to know me.

Biography

I am proud to be a Kaiser Permanente surgeon. I grew up near Cleveland and did all of my medical training in Columbus, Ohio. I am a proud graduate of Ohio State University for both undergraduate and medical schools. My surgical residency was completed in Columbus at Mount Carmel Medical Center. I am board certified as a general surgeon. I am a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I moved to Orange County immediately after training with my lovely wife and baby (3 weeks old at the time!). We have fallen in love with Southern California. I enjoy participating in AccessOC (a local organization that provides medical care for the underserved).

About my practice

I truly enjoy my profession. I am here for many of your general surgery needs, including (but not limited to) breast, parathyroid, gastrointestinal, and hernia surgery. I care for emergency general surgery needs as well. I am trained in laparoscopic surgery. I look forward to helping you if the opportunity arises.

How I thrive

Balancing the demands of a surgical practice and life outside of the hospital is important to me. I love to surf and be in and around the ocean in any capacity that I can. I love my family and enjoy walking the neighborhood and riding bikes with them to stay active. My wife and I love to cook—our favorite dish to make is paella. I also set aside time to read and learn new things.
