I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska, where I attended medical school after completing undergraduate studies at Colorado College. I completed internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma and started practicing general internal medicine in the Bay Area, California. Ten years and 2 children later I moved to Portland, Oregon. I recently concluded my primary care career and joined Kaiser Permanente in the Urgent Care Department.
I can't recall all the reasons why I chose a career in medicine but it suits me completely. Humor is a strong medicine and I use it regularly, one patient at a time.
I meditate daily and partake in numerous outdoor activities such as cycling, fly fishing and gardening. Mindfulness is a constant pursuit.
