About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I am a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. In high school I wanted to be an engineer, but I had a girlfriend who wanted to be a doctor, so I decided that I would also become a doctor. We have now been married for 31 years, so things turned out pretty well. I attended Yale University and Pomona College for undergraduate studies. My wife and I went to UC Irvine for medical school. I then worked in general practice in the Central Valley of California. Following that, I attended the University of Hawaii Ob/Gyn training program, graduating in 1988. I am board certified in Ob/Gyn.

About my practice

I have now worked at Kaiser Permanente for 18 years. I am happy to provide general Ob/Gyn medical care to my patients. I have fond memories of helping many couples by delivering healthy babies. I have performed hundreds of gynecologic operations when my patients have needed them. I also provide preventive gynecologic care to my patients, many of whom I have taken care of for over 15 years.

How I thrive

When I am not at work I tinker around the house. There is no project in my home or yard that intimidates me. I enjoy solving puzzles of all types, including crosswords, Sudoku, and home and garden fix-it projects. My wife and I love to travel. Our kids are away at college now, so we bought a used motor home, which I am refurbishing. Over the next few years we hope to discover some of the many wonders of all the states of our country.
