About Me

I am happy to welcome you to my Web page, where you can learn more about me and my practice. I feel blessed to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the good support from my colleagues, the administration, and staff.

Biography

I was born and raised in the Philippines. As a child, I knew I wanted no other profession but medicine. It was my mother’s dream for me to become a physician. I am so grateful that she encouraged me because of the great opportunity it gives me to make a difference in people’s lives, and the joy and fulfillment that come with that. My family immigrated to the United States, so after finishing medical school, I moved here in 2004. My heart goes out to people who find it difficult to afford health care, so I chose to do my training in a county hospital. I participate in and support nonprofit organizations that provide basic needs and free health care to people who don’t have health insurance.

About my practice

I strongly believe in preventive medicine and compassionate care. As the saying goes: “Cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always.” I strive to listen carefully to people to understand and address their deepest concerns and work with them in devising an effective treatment plan.

How I thrive

Being a wife, a mother, and a full-time physician is a challenge. I enjoy grocery shopping to choose healthy foods for my family. I love jogging with my husband. Playing with my energetic son keeps me physically active. Spending quality time with my family, getting enough rest, and having some quiet time for myself relieve me of stress and strengthen me for another day of work.
