About Me

I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born and lived in New Jersey until the age of twelve when the family moved to the San Fernando Valley. After graduating from Chatsworth High and then UCLA undergraduate I headed to the Windy City for medical school. I have now lived in Southern California for 20 years following four chilly years in Chicago training and practicing in our Kaiser Permanente HMO health care system. I learned long ago after my father's first heart attack that prevention was the best medicine. I now have the opportunity to promote that philosophy by working within this great organization.

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I can care for your entire family from infants to the elderly. I want to be your partner in health, making recommendations and suggestions as you grow through life's stages which hopefully reward you with a fulfilling, enjoyable and of course, healthy life experience.

How I thrive

Like most of you, I struggle daily to "do the right thing." Exercise regularly, eat properly, balance work with recreation and "thrive." Eating less, avoiding carbohydrates, avoiding fats, reducing stress often seem impossible in today's demanding work environment. Many days I go home feeling I have failed. But I get up the next day, and I hope like you, try once again. I do love digital photography and try to find time to enjoy the outdoors. Being able to capture nature's beauty provides me solace and rejuvenates my batteries. I hope one day to show you one of my photos and the story behind taking it.
