About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have the opportunity to tell you a little about me and my practice.

I was born and raised in Colombia, South America, the second of 4 daughters in my family.  When it came time to choose a career, I chose medicine mostly because I loved science and biology. It was later that I discovered a real love for helping people and fell in love with the human side of medicine. I never thought of leaving my country, but life had other plans for me and I ended up moving here, validating my diploma, and finishing family medicine training in Jacksonville, Florida. Since graduating in 2003, I worked in private practice for 12 years, and I have been here at Kaiser since 2014. I have 2 sons. We enjoy movies, exploring new restaurants, and hiking here in San Diego.

About my practice

I believe in empowering members with knowledge about their health. I really advocate for healthy lifestyles and prevention of disease. I practice evidence-based medicine, but don't fight with success however it is achieved. I will work with you to find the best way to a healthier you.

How I thrive

I love exercising, mostly going on hikes and doing yoga. I also try to spend as much time as I can with my family and take them out to movies and restaurants or on hikes. I'd like to do more traveling and enjoy art, music, and good food.
