About Me

I have spent most of my life in northeastern Ohio. I attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where I met my lovely wife of more than 25 years. We have two wonderful, college-aged children who are discerning their paths in life. I practiced internal medicine for 23 years in Ohio before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2013.

About my practice

I chose internal medicine due to the complex and challenging issues it presents. I think medical care should be provided as if the patient was a family member or a friend. It should be presented in a caring, comfortable environment for the patient, as well as the health care team. My practice focus is on prevention, diagnosis and management of adult diseases. This includes diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, arthritic conditions and lung conditions. I coordinate care with the health care team, my patient and their family. I find this a good approach for the patient, particularly in difficult situations.

How I thrive

Grace gets me going and faith keeps me on track. I enjoy spending time with my family, whether at home relaxing or outdoors hiking, traveling or canoeing. We also enjoy getting involved in our church, which keeps the spirit fresh.
