About Me

Hello, and welcome to Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center gynecologic oncology service. Our team is dedicated to caring for members with gynecologic malignancies and pre-malignant lesions of the female genital tract.

Biography

I am originally from Tehran, Iran. I was born in 1973 and graduated from Iran National University in 1997. I served as an emergency physician in the Iranian military for two years, and immigrated to the United States in 2000. I completed my Ob/Gyn residency at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale School of Medicine from 2001-2005, after one year of research at Yale Medical School. I moved to Northern California and finished a gynecologic oncology fellowship from 2005-2008. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 as the director of gynecologic oncology services, and received my board certifications both in obstetrics and gynecology and also gynecologic oncology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

About my practice

My practice includes consultations, follow ups, surgery for both benign and malignant gynecologic problems, and a chemotherapy practice. I also collaborate with colleagues from Kaiser Permanente Orange County and Baldwin Park Medical Centers, assisting with surgeries and practices, and am also involved in several research protocols. I am also an honorary faculty member of Iran National University, and travel to Iran for talks, surgery, and clinic consults as a volunteer faculty.

How I thrive

I have a beautiful wife and two lovely children, with whom I spend most of my free time. I enjoy classical music, and used to play the piano, I still play for my own pleasure to thrive spiritually. I also love skiing and swimming but my most favorite hobbies are playing with my children, traveling, and watching good movies.
