About Me

Hi! Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad you've taken the opportunity to learn more about me—whether you’re a current or prospective member of Kaiser Permanente. I hope this site is helpful to you and I look forward to working with you to optimize your overall health. Please take a moment to find out a little bit about my history and practice.

Biography

I grew up in Riverside. I actually entered college planning to study bioengineering but found that I wanted a career with more personal interaction. Later, in medical school, I found myself drawn to primary care. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I served on active duty at Vandenberg Air Force Base as medical director of the family practice clinic. It was a great experience taking care of military members and their families. I also helped lead a medical humanitarian mission to the Dominican Republic. I have a beautiful wife and four healthy kids, and I love living in north San Diego County.

About my practice

I joined Kaiser Permanente because I believe it offers the best opportunity to provide high-quality care. I encourage all my members to eat well, exercise regularly, and reduce stress. I make the same recommendations as I would for members of my own family. It's good to know we live in an age where, if we can't achieve good health with therapeutic lifestyle changes, there are treatments and medications to help reduce the risk of life-altering events. I strongly encourage appropriate disease screening for early detection and treatment. Our health care team works hard to help you reach health goals like quitting smoking and losing weight. How I thrive

I balance my life by making time to talk, getting adequate sleep, exercising, practicing my faith, and traveling with my family. We love going to the beach and hiking in the Sierras. I almost always take the stairs and park far away in order to get in a walk. We also like to eat fresh, healthy foods.
