About Me

I was born and raised in southern middle Tennessee. After high school, I completed my undergraduate degrees in biology and history at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. l earned my Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed a fellowship in clinical microbiology. I am board certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology. After my fellowship, I served as director of microbiology for a large hospital system in Orlando, Florida, and taught clinical microbiology and parasitology for the medical laboratory science program at the University of Central Florida.

About my practice

I am a member of the Pathology Department and support areas of clinical microbiology, serology, and molecular infectious disease testing.

How I thrive

I enjoy running and recently completed my first half-marathon.
