About Me

I grew up in Michigan and Canada. I completed medical school in Texas and residency here in Denver. I started out in anesthesia and switched to internal medicine because I enjoyed getting to know my patients more.

About my practice

I try to get to know my patients well as I feel a good doctor-patient relationship is important for both of us. When I get to know your personality as well as your medical history, I hope that you’ll feel comfortable to be open and to trust me. This enables me to be at ease to practice the best medicine and to answer your questions. I like the variety and complexity of primary care. I especially enjoy geriatrics, diabetes and heart disease. I work as a team with other internists, physician assistants and nurses to coordinate your care. I believe in helping you use lifestyle changes to improve your quality of life and to try to minimize medications.

How I thrive

I love spending time with my husband, two children, and three dogs. I had to give up running due to arthritis but am still very active. I thrive on exercise classes and head to the mountains when I can. My faith keeps me grounded. I volunteer regularly and participate in various groups at my church. I rarely have time to waste, but when I do I love to read, cook and watch HGTV.
