About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you. I am a board-certified family physician with more than 15 years of experience in practice at Kaiser Permanente. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues, support staff, and members. I look forward to working with you to care for your health and help you achieve your wellness goals.

Biography

I was born in Quezon City, Philippines, and moved to Southern California when I was 5 years old. I completed my medical training in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties. I left California over 23 years ago to practice medicine, first for seven years in Connecticut and then most recently in Hawaii, for the last 15 years. I am happy to be back in the Palm Springs area to continue my medical practice and to enjoy California life once again with my husband and our dog.

About my practice

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a doctor because I was fascinated with the world of medicine. As a family medicine physician, I find it extremely rewarding to use my skills and knowledge to helping people live healthier lives. Family medicine enables me to provide a wide range of care that crosses a number of specialties. I believe that living a healthy and active lifestyle is critical for optimal well-being. Eating a whole-food, mostly plant-based diet and exercising daily are the keys to prevention of disease. My job is to educate members. I enjoy establishing relationships with them while tracking their progress. I approach members as their guide and partner to assist with their health care needs. I like helping them navigate through the tools that Kaiser Permanente has available, but I emphasize that members must be active in their own care. I also have an interest in caring for members in the LGBT community. I am currently working on the Southern California Permanente Medical Group’s professional development team, which includes clinician and member communication coursework and mentoring.

How I thrive

I maintain my physical health by eating wholesome, nutritious foods and getting an adequate amount of sleep. I also exercise daily by doing cardiovascular routines and weightlifting. I also like playing tennis, hiking, and cooking. I believe in balancing hard work with relaxation, and I enjoy traveling.
